Kippy EVO review
Published 20 June 2026
The battery champion, lasting up to around 15 days between charges, with the best activity timeline on test. The trade-offs are a slightly larger unit and more limited UK support than Tractive or PitPat.

How it scores
We rate every product in this category on the same criteria, weighted by how much they matter in daily use. Each score is out of 10.
| Criterion | Weight | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Location accuracy | 25% | 8.0 | Strong GNSS multi-satellite positioning; tracks well on walks |
| Battery life | 20% | 9.5 | Up to around 15 days between charges, the longest here by a clear margin |
| Subscription value and transparency | 15% | 6.5 | Subscription required; total two-year cost is on the pricier side for what you get |

| Size, comfort and fit | 5% | 6.5 | Slightly larger than Tractive and Pawfit, better for medium and larger dogs |
| Value | 5% | 6.5 | Pricey overall unless the activity timeline is exactly what you need |
| Weighted total | 7.88 |
How we score: each rating combines the manufacturer specification with the weight of feedback from owners and independent reviewers. We do not copy other reviews. The score is our own synthesis, and we show the reasoning so you can judge it yourself.

Common questions
How long does the Kippy battery last?
Up to around 15 days between charges in normal use, the longest of the mainstream UK trackers, so it needs charging far less often than rivals that last days rather than weeks.
Is the Kippy good for small dogs or cats?
It is a touch larger than the Tractive and Pawfit devices, so it suits medium and larger dogs better. Testers found a 12kg cockapoo did not mind it, but it is less ideal for very small pets.
What is the catch with Kippy?
Mainly more limited UK support and a higher overall cost over two years. It is worth it chiefly if the long battery life or the detailed activity timeline are what you most want.
